Beet nutrition

According to the Canadian Nutrient File, 100 g of raw beets (about 1 medium sized beet) provide the following amounts of your daily-recommended intake of vitamins and minerals:

  • 50% of folate,
  • 16% manganese,
  • 9% magnesium,
  • 9% potassium,
  • 8% of Vitamin C,
  • 7% of fibre,
  • 4% of Vitamin B6, and
  • 4% phosphorus.
