If you can’t choose between sweet and savoury, we’ve got you covered with sweet potatoes both ways!

Ingredients
- Ingredients:
- 6 Ontario Sweet Potatoes
- Sweet Mixture:
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3 Tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Salty Mixture:
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or rosemary chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes
- Parmesan cheese optional for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, or use your air fryer.
- Use two toothpicks and place the sweet potato over the toothpicks in a way that it sits comfortably without shaking.
- Use a sharp knife to slice thinly along the whole sweet potato making sure not to slice all the way. However thin or thick you space the slices is completely optional and up to you.
- Take three sweet potatoes and drench them in the sweet mixture (leave about 2 tablespoons of the sweet mixture for garnish).
- Repeat the same with the salty mixture.
- Wrap each sweet potato in foil and bake for 50-60 minutes until tender. Alternatively you can air fry them at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
- Unwrap the sweet potatoes and finish off with the remaining mixtures.
- Serve and enjoy!
