Shahzadi is an award-winning registered dietitian and plant-forward food blogger in Toronto. She launched Desi~licious RD Inc to show busy health seekers – with credible science-backed strategies – how simple it can be to eat for health, nourish mindfully and thrive with confidence while enjoying ethnic cuisines. By leveraging her experiences as a minority woman, she brings a unique perspective and understanding of obstacles facing today’s South Asian community. Shahzadi is an established and respected media personality with features in Forbes, Oprah Magazine, Huffington Post, Chatelaine, NBC and more. She serves as a subject matter expert for Global News and is an on-air nutrition and food expert for CTV Your Morning. Shahzadi is currently an ambassador for Community Food Centres Canada and is attempting to raise awareness on food insecurity amongst low-income Canadians. She hopes this collaboration will fuel efforts to help build health, belonging and social justice to Canadians struggling with poverty and food insecurity. Carmy is a healthy-ish food blogger based in Ontario. After graduating from the University of Toronto, where she was surrounded by food trucks, she realized she was lacking in the ability to feed herself healthy home cooked meals. So, off she went to George Brown College to arm herself with the basics, and she quickly fell in love with cooking. Since then, she’s been sharing what she’s picked up!
