Pear Nutrition

Many people do not realize that pears are an excellent source of dietary fibre. With just 58 calories, a medium sized pear has 3 grams of fibre or 12% of the recommended daily allowance. Pears are also a source of vitamin C (4.2 mg or 7% Daily Value) and provide potassium (119 mg). They contain no saturated fat, sodium, or cholesterol. Source: Canadian Nutrient File
