Ingredients
- Waffle Batter:
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 3 eggs, separated
- 2 tbsp. melted butter or vegetable oil
- 1 ½ cups homo or 2% milk
- Garnish:
- 2 cups Teeny Tiny Smuccies™ (whole or sliced)
- ** serve with maple syrup
Instructions
- Sift dry ingredients together into a medium sized bowl, making a well in the middle. Add egg yolks, milk and melted butter or oil, mixing gently until combined. In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites until stiff then fold into the batter until blended.
- Preheat waffle iron.
- Using a ladle, spoon batter into center of waffle iron and close lid. With each waffle, the timing will become evident (2-3 minutes). Top each waffle with Teeny Tiny Smuccies™ (plus berries of your choice) and drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
