Cajun Grilled Ontario Potatoes
Bring on the heat with these delicious and nutritious potatoes! These are a quick and easy way to get some smoky barbecue flavour into any meal. Perfect as a side dish, or as a highlight all on their own. Making your own spice rub is a good way to control the amount of salt used. The spice mixture can be prepared ahead of time and stored in a sealed container, ready for any time you need it!

Cajun Spice Mixture
- 1 Tsp. Smoked Paprika
- 1 Tsp. Chili Powder
- 1/2 Tsp. Dried Oregano
- 1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp. Salt
- 1/4 Tsp. Black Pepper
For the Potatoes
- 1 1/2 Lbs. Mini Ontario Potatoes, Halved
- 2 Ontario Onions, Cut Into Thin Wedges
- 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Instructions
Step 1
Pre-heat barbecue to medium-high.Step 2
In small bowl, combine paprika, chili powder, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper.Step 3
In large bowl, combine potatoes, onions, olive oil and seasoning mixture; toss to coat well. Spread evenly in greased 12 X 10-inch (30 X 25 cm) shallow foil pan. Seal with foil.Step 4
Grill for about 30 minutes, shaking pan occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
Tip: Use heavy duty foil or double wrap regular foil around the potatoes in place of foil pan.
