Parmesan Crusted Asparagus
This simple parmesan crusted asparagus recipe makes a delicious side during the short but sweet Ontario asparagus season! It’s the season for Asparagus, and we love using Ontario Asparagus to make this simple and easy side dish–Parmesan Crusted Asparagus! Similar to the viral Parmesan Potatoes, this is the same version but uses seasonal Asparagus.We love serving this with a nice dollop of Burrata Cheese for an extra luxurious finish and a lovely texture contrast, feel free to skip that or use goat cheese or feta cheese if you’d like!

✅You need to trim the asparagus so that they cook evenly
✅Use butter or olive oil for this recipe.
✅Pick your favorite spices
✅Any oven safe dish works–metal or ceramic
✅make sure the Asparagus is in a single layer on the baking dish
✅Be generous with Parm!
✅Serve nice and warm with some burrata or goat cheese or feta!
Ingredients
Servings
- 2 bunches of Ontario Asparagus, trimmed
- 2/3 cup melted butter, divided
- 2/3 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chilli flakes (optional)
- Fresh thyme/oregano or dried

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.Step 2
Pour 1/2 cup of the butter at the bottom of an oven safe fish 9X13 inch and spread the butter. using a brush or fork.Step 3
Add the same amount of parmesan (1/2cup) and then seasoning over the parmesan. Do not mix that in with the butter.Step 4
Now arrange the asparagus side by side in a single layer on the dish.Step 5
Pour the remaining butter, asparagus and season the top of the asparagus.Step 6
Bake for 15 minutes until golden and the parmesan has crisped up.Step 7
Remove the asparagus onto a serving platter and serve with Burrata.Step 8
